The 4th grade class of Ms. Samantha Nguyen graciously hosted our group as part of their efforts to learn more about law enforcement, the United States Marine Corps, and the ways we partner to support our community. Their curiosity centered especially on the Shop with a Hero program

Sheriff Christina Corpus and the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Activities League partnered with the U.S. Marine Corps to host a youth mentorship program featuring Marine Officer Candidates, veterans, and community leaders. Youth learned about leadership, resilience, the Mameluke sword, and the history of challenge coins, while connecting with Marines from Stanford, UC Berkeley, and beyond.
