Mason Lok, Promoted to Acting Executive Director

Sheriff Christina Corpus has promoted Mason Lok to serve as Acting Executive Director of SAL, effective immediately.

The Board of Directors voted unanimously to pass a resolution expressing our complete trust, faith, and unwavering support for Mr. Lok in this vital leadership role.

Mr. Lok brings with him 14 years of experience and a lifelong connection to SAL. His journey began in 2011 as a participant in the Teen Leadership Council Program, where he first demonstrated the passion for service that has defined his career. Over the years, Mason has devoted himself to empowering youth and fostering meaningful community connections.

As Programs Manager, he developed and implemented mentorship initiatives that have positively impacted the lives of more than 1,000 young individuals—equipping them with tools for success in higher education, the workforce, and community leadership. In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Mason was honored as California PAL’s “Staff of the Year” in 2023 for his exceptional work with underserved youth and for strengthening trust between law enforcement and the communities they serve.

Beyond his local leadership, Mason has taken on significant statewide and national roles. He has served on several youth development committees across California, helping shape policies and expand opportunities for young people. As Sergeant of Arms for the National PAL Board, he is helping advance the mission of PAL nationwide by supporting programs that foster trust and collaboration among youth, law enforcement, and communities.

The Board of Directors believes that Mason’s proven leadership, unmatched dedication, and personal connection to SAL uniquely qualify him to guide this organization into the future. We are confident that under his direction, SAL will continue to grow as a model of community partnership, mentorship, and opportunity—positively impacting the lives of youth and families throughout San Mateo County.
